“…come into the peace of wild things… the presence of still water…”

— Wendell Berry, The Peace of Wild Things

A unique and sensuous one-hour meditative journey of fire, sauna, swimming and sound. Gather around the fire before stepping over the threshold into the warmth of the sauna. Guided by drum, chant and a breathing meditation, land gently in the space: breathing in nourishment from the earth, breathing out gratitude in return…

Returning to the fireside, take a moment to attend to what is present within you. A relationship, a feeling, something asking for care or attention. What might it be calling for, a thank you, a goodbye, an intention, a blessing? Carry this into the sauna, where you are invited to offer it to the stones and the rising steam, enveloped in a scent-scape and soundscape woven from essential oils, voice and instruments…

Follow with time beside the lake: to immerse yourself in the water, sit with the fire, or simply be still, allowing space for contemplation and integration. The warmth of the sauna calls you back for a soothing final session, accompanied by

Tibetan bowls and other sound healing instruments, with a homemade salt scrub prepared from foraged plants.

Gather once more around the fire to bring the meditative space to a close, before lingering for tea, treats, conversation or another swim.
