About
A sound bath shaped by relationship with place using Aerial Hammocks to support the body.
Sound Bath & Sound Art
An immersive journey through sound, nature and stillness.
Bringing together sound bath and sound art, this is an invitation to slow down, rest and immerse yourself in an evolving soundscape inspired by the lakes, their seasonal changes and the natural world around us.
Relax into an original recorded soundscape created from field recordings gathered in and around the lakes. Discover the hidden sounds beneath the water, the elements, birdsong and the changing seasons, alongside sounds drawn from encounters with the natural life of this special place.
Live acoustic instruments bring the soundscape to life, including Tibetan and crystal bowls, gong, chimes, percussion and voice. These sounds are woven together with the recordings to create a unique and evolving experience.
Each gathering is different. The sounds, atmosphere and energy of those present help shape the journey, allowing the experience to unfold naturally through the connection between place, sound and people.
What to Expect
Held in the Koselig Cabin at Court Farm Lakes, warmed by the wood-burning stove, this experience combines the restorative relaxation of a traditional sound bath with the creativity and exploration of sound art.
Settle into an aerial yoga hammock or make yourself comfortable lying on the floor. Simply relax and allow yourself to be immersed in the recorded soundscape, live instruments, voice and devotional chant.
Every session is a unique experience, with live sounds responding to the atmosphere and energy of the space.
What to Bring
To make yourself as comfortable as possible, please bring:
- Warm, comfortable layers of clothing.
- A blanket, as your body temperature may drop while resting.
- A pillow or anything else that will help you relax.
- A bottle of water.
- A comfortable mat if you would prefer to lie on the floor rather than use an aerial hammock.
Come as you are, settle in, switch off and allow yourself to be carried away by the sounds of the lakes.
